Firm Profile

Sam Houston and Nissa Dunn founded Houston Dunn, PLLC in 2013 as a civil appellate law firm providing its services to trial lawyers as well as to corporations, non-profits, and individuals. In 2023, Greta McFarling joined Houston Dunn as Senior Counsel. All the firm’s lawyers are Board Certified in Civil Appellate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. In addition to initiating and defending civil appeals and original proceedings in state and federal appellate courts, the firm’s lawyers work closely with trial lawyers to develop trial strategy, prepare cases for trial, and assist in error preservation during all phases of litigation.
